Lynx Micro System

The Lynx MicroSystem Headset & Helmet have been purposely designed for use in high-noise environment of open cockpit aviation where noise attenuation and microphone noise cancellation are primary concern. The Lynx System provides for both clear pilot to co-pilot communication and, when interfaced with a suitable transceiver, high quality radio telephony. Built to exacting standards, the Lynx System is designed to offer the user the very latest in technology in a product intended to provide many years of rugged and reliable service.

The Lynx Micro System headset is the worlds’s first to incorporate both the electronics and the power supply necessary to enable audio intercommunication. The self contained unit is manufactured utilising the latest techniques in microcircuitry and the most recent developments in Nickel-Cadmium and Samarium-Cobalt technologies. Each headset contains a high-specification electret noise-cancelling microphone, a sub-miniature speech processor module, high enfficiency speakers and a series of rechargeable cells.

The Lynx Micro helmet is designed to mate with the Headset to provide a degree of head protection in the event of an accident. The helmet visor, when fitted, protects the face and eyes from the elements and small flying objects. Manufactured from Polycarbonate, the shell is light and extremely strong. The Styrene inner liner is formed to accommodate the headset and is supplied in a range of sizes to ensure an accurate and comfortable fit. The full-face visor is manufactured from scrath-resistant Lexan Polycarbonate and is securely attached to the Helmet shell using machine fasteners and a foam sealing strip.

For radio telephony applications the Lynx System Headset can be easily connected to suitable transcievers using a Lynx Radio Interface Unit. Several types of Interface Unit are available and are supplied with all necessary fittings and connections to match most VHF transceivers manufactured for aviation purposes.

Micro System Headsets can be connected to mobile telephones using an Audio Adapter and Mobile Telephone Lead (both required).
It is also possible to play music or record the intercom audio using the Audio Adapter and an Audio Input/Output Lead.
The Audio Adapter can be used in combination with any other items of equipment, such as radio interface units.

Lynx Relai System

The Relai System headset is designed specifically for use in very high noise environments where wind noise may also be a problem.

A hard helmet or a soft leather helmet, both designed specifically for use with the Relai System headsets, combine with the headset to form an integrated assembly.

The Pilot System headset is designed specifically for use in very high noise environments where wind noise may also be a problem.
